About The Project

Goal

The goal was to animate a thirty second video essay. I decided to animate "Things Your Chunky Dragon Needs". I wanted to incorporate my childhood into my project by bringing my own illustrations to life. Who doesn't want a pet dragon?

Research and Sketching

What style of illustration would fit a childrens show/book? What colors make it feel cozy and inviting? What DO chunky dragons need? (Just like any pet they need food, love, and baths). Warm colors and soft shapes combined with handrawn-illustrations give this project a storybook feel.
